Win a Free Boat! CCA California STAR Tournament
CCA- Coastal Conservation Association of California is set to do it again. Kicking off their second CCA California STAR Tournament with a bang. This year, they have acquired some incredible grand prize and weekly raffles, including the Parker 180SE with Yamaha 150 as the ultimate grand prize.
Last year had close to 800 participants and CCA California STAR Tournament has set a goat of 1,200 for 2025.
For 2025, there have been a couple of updates to the program. They have added three new species that you can target. Chinook Salmon, Striped Bass and Ling Cod. All of these are abundant up and down the California coast giving anglers ample opportunity to catch fish and get in on the action. They have also expanded their reach, extending the fishable area from the California/Oregon state line all the way down to the tip of Baja on the Pacific Side. “We wanted to give anglers more opportunity to get involved with CCA and offer more chances to win some of these incredible prizes,” said Davey Brown, CCA STAR Tournament Chair. “With the expanded region, we wanted to get our long range and overnight fleet in on the action. Now that anglers can fish Mexican waters, it opens up an entirely new ballgame.”
For the STAR California STAR Tournament, you don’t have to catch the biggest fish, only a qualifying fish. Each fish and species is worth an entry into the grand prize and weekly raffles. A Bluefin Tuna is the same as catching a qualifying Calico Bass. Prety cool!
It is only $40 to enter this 4-month long tournament for current CCA Members. If you are not yet a member, sign up and get involved. The tournament runs from the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend right through Labor Day weekend in September. May 24 to Sep 1.
